Word Parade

We will be doing a word parade in conjunction with the Halloween parade. Each student will need to find an adjective that describes their costume.  There is a place on the paper that came home for students to write their word, the definition and a sentence with their word in it. The purpose is for the third grade to be introduced to new words.  Students should choose a word that is not used in everyday use. For example instead of using the word pretty, a student might use the word glamorous.  We will be making signs for the students to wear on Wednesday, so the planning page needs to be brought back to school by then. Students will wear their sign with the Halloween costume during the parade.  Students will have the opportunity to share their word and what it means with their class.

Music Informances

We have had the wonderful opportunity of having Mr. Roberts from the Beverly Taylor Sorensen Arts Program at our school to teach us music. Next week parents are invited to an informance where they can watch Mr. Roberts teach the students. The informance will be on Monday, October 20th for class 310 and Tuesday, October 21st for class 311.  Class starts at 10:15 on the stage.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences will be on November 5-6. Please sign up for a time to meet with us. If there is not a time that will work for you, email us and we will find another time before or after school. Thanks! We look forward to meeting with all of you!
