Students
in third grade on tracks B and C will be doing a biography wax museum on May 1st.
Students will be required to write a report on a famous person. They will dress
up as that person and pretend to be them at the wax museum. More information
will be coming about wax museum specifics as the event date gets closer.
Students need to select a famous
person by this Friday, April 10th. We ask that they choose
someone that is not in pop culture today, but someone who has made a difference
in their field. A list of suggestions was sent home. The blue paper that was sent home is for students to write their
first, second and third choice for whom they would like to write about. They
will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. There will not be
duplicates in each class.
Students
will be writing their biographies at school, but some help may be needed at
home to find a book or an article about the person they choose. Our school
library has many biographies that students can check out and use. Students need
to have a book or article in class by Monday, April 13th, whether it
is checked out from school or a book from home.
